Ain’t Too Proud To Beg!

It’s Better To Give Than To Receive…Unless You’re A Grifter

One thing about Jessie Czebotar is that she is, as the song went, “Ain’t too proud to beg.”  Currently, she has numerous online donation accounts, GoFundMe, Patreon, etc. So many it is hard to keep up with them.  Besides donations she works as a paid co-host for Right On Radio (Note: parted ways in 2022) and earns additional income from the proceeds of books, blessed oils, candles, and so on.  She has recently branched out to Special Events such as weekend retreats starting at $100 for a two day pass and $400 for a VIP ticket to meet Jessie in person, have lunch with her and “anoint oil” in haunted places.  This does not include most meals or hotel reservations.

These fundraising efforts are meant with the intention of helping victims of trafficking, Satanic ritual abuse (SRA) and the needs of veterans.  However, there is scant evidence of anyone being helped except one serviceman and there are issues with it.  More on that below.

Yvonne (Evonne) Reyes Woodrow, aka VReyes, is a Christian music artist and is now on Jessie’s team.  Together with her husband Jesse they manage Illuminate The Darkness Netherlands.  She is also in charge of the fundraising efforts which include the aforementioned fundraising sites.

Besides person needs, Jessie claims to need donations to help SRA victims, whistleblowers and support Veterans and their needs.  She sells merchandise such as her books, apparel, candles, mugs, etc.  However, very little is known about these efforts who are being helped as her ministry rarely publishes this information.  Unlike other charitable organizations, such as the Wounded Warrior Project which provides pictures, names and bios of the Veterans they help, Jessie’s funding projects provide no information (photos, names, receipts, etc) of anybody they are allegedly helping.

Beginning in January of 2022 Jessie Czebotar has officially established her ministry, Illuminate the Darkness, as an LLC.  It's a privately held corporation and will not be designated as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation by the IRS.  All fundraising efforts for her ministry will be private, no pubic accounting and there will be no tax write-offs for making donations.  You can read more about this in my article Illuminate The Darkness LLC (LINK).

Donations For Veterans

However, beginning in June of 2021, VReyes began asking for donations to help a grieving family get a burial plot for their son, a deceased Navy man, Donnell E McLaoughlin.  For a long time nothing was provided regarding who was specifically being helped.  So Twitter poster SeekingPeace&Truth (SPT), began asking questions of VReyes regarding the silence on this issue.  At first the excuse was they didn’t want to burden a grieving family.  But SPT kept up the pressureDoesn’t someone giving a donation have the right to ask what they are paying for?

In one odd and ambiguous exchange, SPT got this response from VReyes:

Resources?  SPT told me she had not sent VReyes anything.  I recommended she tweet back and make the point that she did not send VReyes any resources. It's a strange comment to make till you understand what kind of players these people are.  From Jessie down to her associates.  One has to make sure there is nothing that ties you to these people.  If they get investigated one day, and they find the tweet about sending them something, which in this case would be undocumented, guess who gets a call?

Eventually, However, after much lobbying on Twitter by SPT, VReyes did post a name and a picture of a deceased Navy man Donnell E. McLaughlin.  No rank given or further details.  This is odd, but this is a general pattern of how this ministry operates, where much information is generally left out, vague, or hidden behind paywalls.

While the stated need is for a burial plot, a memorial page set up for Donnell E. McLaughlin which states his memorial service was held in January 22, 2020.  But the family needs a burial plot now?  This was so long ago the family could have set up their own GoFundMe donation page and acquired the funds for the plot by now.  The military does provide partial financial help for funerals as well.  Even a small plot for burying an urn would be affordable.

Seems like they dived in too quick and did not properly vet the right person as the time frame is off.  Should not this burial plot be for someone recent?  Looks dodgy as usual.

Confronted

The news on this surfaced and others started asking questions on Twitter.  Below is a series of exchanges with Evonne Woodrow in which she dodges all questions in an unsatisfactory manner leaving the issue unresolved.

Woodrow’s claim that she is doing this on her own is incorrect because she is working in Jessie’s ministry.  She is leading the fundraising for veterans under the ministry banner.  The donation checks are to be written to the Illuminate the Darkness ministry.  The idea that this is her own pet project doesn’t hold water. The reason given for the year and half delay for a burial plot is totally ignored other than her saying it’s been taken care of.  She dodges the whole thing.  She has to as she has been caught in the blind.  Did Woodrow actually think nobody was going to look into this?  Did the money really go to help this Navy veteran’s family?

She states in her last sentence that my article is a “total fraud”?  Based on what?  She never says and hastily moves on.  Later on she will post on Twitter that my blog sucks.  Once again, no explanation for what is so bad about my reporting this strange situation that doesn’t make sense and no reason given for the extremely long delay in purchasing a burial plot.

I view Evonne Woodrow as the deer caught with the wolves.  She really isn’t a good player in this degree of intrigue.

Oh, and the question regarding why they were fund raising for a man who had died 1.5 years earlier was never answered.

Notes

From Wikipedia:

The Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) is an organization based in the United States whose members attend the funerals of members of the U.S. military and first responders at the invitation of a decedent's family.

“The group forms a voluntary honor guard at military burials, helps protect mourners from harassment and fills out the ranks at burials of indigent and homeless veterans. In addition to attending funerals, the group also greets troops returning from overseas at homecoming celebrations and performs volunteer work for veteran's organizations such as Veterans Homes.”

Some donors get thanked for donating some don't.  Author Jill Hughes says she gave Jessie $2800 for dental work to receive no gratitude in return.  She complained about it on Twitter and still got no response. One person contacted me recently and said she did and others are showing up on Twitter to say they did as well.  Brandy, an online challenger and researcher into Jessie's stories told me she had spoken to over a dozen donors that did not get a note of thanks in return.  So keep that in mind should you wish to donate any money to the fundraising efforts.

Around that time last year this article was published, Jodi LaDolce, the one time ally of Jessie, jumped into the fray calling this article a “hit piece” of which, nothing could be farther than the truth.  As I said above, I was simply asking a question, why are you raising money for a burial for man that has passed away a year and a half earlier?  question of which LaDolce in her huffy response still did not answer.  And regarding the late veteran’s mother getting the money donated, I never said she did not!  Again, it was just an inquiry since there is so much lying and dodgy behavior from this lot.  LaDolce boasts she has proof that the grieving mother was paid.  Fine.  Then she never presents the receipts.

When it comes down to it, these people just can’t stand anybody questioning their dicey business practices.  Jessie Czebotar’s The Illuminate The Darkness ministry engages in a lot of fund raising but offers scant proof that anybody is getting the money, which is a common practice among legitimate charities.

As one can see from this Facebook post, they are implying the death of the veteran was recent in June of 2021.  In 1.5 years the mother could have raised the additional $2k with her donation account.  And that should have been Fallen Sailor.

Regarding Creating Wealth through Stewardship, I stated the wrong membership fee. It is $497.  This is in error and has been corrected.  I apologize to my readers.
