The George Bailey Collectors

On Facebook when I get a friend request I normally check their profile to learn more about the person making the request.  Generally, I’ll pass on people with little written about themselves or their backstory.

So one day I got a friend request and checked out the page of the women requesting it.  I found little there except for three friends listed.  Checking them out I was stunned at what I found.  All three of these men shared my name, George Bailey.  What?  Did someone have a fetish for this name?  The very name of the character Jimmy Stewart played in the popular holiday movie, It’s A Wonderful Life.

What Goes Up Comes Down

A record of airplane accidents in the Grand Canyon.

 A fellow researcher was on the hunt for records of missing people in the national park system and found a good source at The Morning Report.  A website of the National Park Service and the U.S. Department of the Interior.  It features listings in the national park system from missing hikers, deaths, or accidents.  They are divided up into Field Incident Reports, NPS Morning Reports, and Coalition Reports.
