I feel blessed to live where I do, in the rural lands of central Florida. Some think that living in a nature rich environment can be peaceful and at times it can, but not when the cicadas start screeching like banshees on a warm, humid, summer afternoon. It can be a deafening roar. Followed up that night with the Katydids. On the other hand, it all leads to the abundance of life from multiple sources. The peace will always return as the summer fades and their mating calls with it.
